In this MINI TWO HOUR session, you will play with various printmaking styles on fabric; including ready-made wooden blocks, foam shapes and mark making with everyday objects.
I have used printmaking to create my own designs on fabric which I have made into tops, dresses and bags. It is a great way to express your personality and make something unique.
You will first play on a practise piece of fabric before printing on a pre-made zipper bag which you will take home with you!
What will I learn?
You will use different objects to create marks and patterns on fabric
You will create a final design to print on a set surface
Considering a design on a set sized product
What is included?
A friendly space to print in a small group
Quality fabric paints, stamps and tools.
A Fat quarter of fabric (50cmx55cm) of plain fabric to have a play on.
You can take this home to make into something awesome!
A small zipped bag to create a final design (12 × 20cm)
Tea/coffee and snacks
Inspiration will be all around you!
What do I need to bring?
Any inspiration - I have examples and books to help inspire you on the day.
If you have any stamps/blocks or everyday items you want to play with - bring them along.
An apron and/or old clothing.
A passion to play with printmaking!
There are limited spaces in each class, so book now to avoid disappointment.
PHOTO SHOOT SESSION
Saturday 21st February 10am - 12pm
This session will include photography of students in action to be used for future sessions. By joining this session, you agree that photos and videos taken can be used in promotion of Sew It Jenny workshops on website, social media and leaflets.
Students will still learn and play with printmaking and aim to take photographs with minimum disruption to the class.
Friday 13th March 10am - 12pm
Regular session.
