Explore Printmaking
Release your inner creative to explore printmaking on fabrics.
Over the four hour session, you will play with various printmaking styles on fabric; including ready-made wooden blocks, foam shapes and mark making with everyday objects.
I have used printmaking to create my own designs on fabric which I have made into tops, dresses and bags. It is a great way to express your personality and make something unique. I’ve used the ends of pens for perfect circles and pasta rolling pin to create stripes!
You will first play on a practise piece of fabric before printing on a fabric of your choice which you will bring along with you. This could be to make into a dress, top, skirt, bag, roman blinds, lampshade or something else!
What will I learn?
You will use different objects to create marks and patterns on fabric
You will experimenting with making your own printing blocks
You will use skills to print a final design
What is included?
A friendly space to print in a small group
Quality fabric paints, stamps and tools. Paint colours may be limited. If you have a particular colour palette in mind, do get in touch before the class.
0.5m of plain fabric to have a play on. You can take this home to make into something awesome!
Tea/coffee and snacks (welcome to bring your own too)
